The events at the cave in episode 9 happen differently. Carol sacrifices herself in order for the others to escape. 

Daryl struggles with her loss deeply, and then the solution turns up in the strangest pair of hands.

Daryl goes to find Carol and stumbles upon her examining some serious-looking bruises on her back in the mirror. Daryl is determined to find out how she got them.

Alternate take on the opening minutes of Season 10 Episode 3. Spoilers for those opening minutes but this diverges from canon. 

What if Rick didn't just kick Carol out when he discovered she had killed Karen and David? Well, let's just say Daryl gets back to the prison, eager to make sure she's not sick like the others only to find she's been locked up. Cue Angry Redneck noises! 
Set in Season 4 before the fall of the prison.

Set after A Certain Doom.

Lydia tells Daryl he should give Carol some incentive to live after telling him how Carol had almost jumped.

Snippet:

“I think you need to give her something to live for.”

Daryl furrowed his brow.

“What could I give her that would make her want to live?”

Lydia watched him silently for a moment.

“You could tell her that you’re in love with her,” she suggested quietly.

Daryl’s eyebrows shot up.

“What?” he asked, squinting at her. Where the hell had that come from?

Lydia sighed. She hugged her middle.

“I might have grown up with a psycho for a mother but even I see the way you look at her. You love her.”

Carol is bitten while out with Daryl and the group in the woods. Daryl is desperate to save her. 

Carol is done.

She believes there is nothing left for her now. She has lost everyone she ever cared about.

Even with Daryl's words fresh in her mind that he was 'never gonna hate her', she doesn't believe it's possible for him to forgive her.

She plans to use the gun that caused so much trouble in the beginning to put an end to it all. 

She doesn't count on Lydia. 

Lots of angst and no real happy ending, just to warn you. This is based on the rumours and predictions for episode 14 'Look At The Flowers'. 

This is a little one shot/drabble I never posted back when Season 9 first aired. It's an alternate version of the scene where Ezekiel falls through the glass floor in the museum. This is what I believe would have happened if Daryl had fallen too.

Set during the time on the road after the farm was lost and before they found the prison. Carol considers her worth in the group and Daryl worries about how thin she is getting. Cuteness ensues.
