This is a McReedus fan fiction story. Melissa changes her life dramatically between Seasons Four and Five and doesn't tell Norman about it. Norman returns to Atlanta to film Season Five determined to show Melissa that he cares about her and that they can be happy together. Melissa doesn't fully trust that Norman won't go back to his playboy days.
This story is AU in that Melissa and Norman are forced to face challenges that they never would have imagined. No zombies but expect that their world is very different.

Daryl volunteers to help remove debris from the recent flood. He meets Carol and her friends who have lost their homes and have no place to go.
Carol finds herself in the Kingdom and she makes new friends. Daryl fights for the survival of Alexandria. Will they find their way back to each other?
Daryl is doing fine living the good life in a house that his aunt left him. Carol is his uptight neighbor who is obsessed with home renovation.
Daryl reveals his previously hidden feelings to and for a somewhat drugged up Carol.
Daryl leads the walkers around Alexandria back to the quarry. He decides that he will tell Carol how he feels about her if he survives this mission.
Carol and Andrea are back at the farm in Lincoln County, Virginia. Both Carol and Andrea are pregnant. Daryl is back in Carol's good graces, but Andrea and Rick are no longer together. In fact, he left with a large group of people to survive the apocalypse.
There are new challenges for them to meet. A new virus is sweeping the world killing off millions wiht a high fever and the survivors turn violent.
Carol and Daryl are pushed into living together to protect Sophia. There are some recycled characters and a familiar plot line. They both have trust issues and more than enough baggage to keep the story moving. It's kind of AU in that Dary is less angry and Carol more assertive.
Carol's obsession with avening Henry's death has created a rift between her and Daryl. He's angry with her and she's ready to book out of town. Daryl guilts her into staying in Alexandria until Michonne returns.
Season Two Carol and Daryl begin to move past their losses at the farm. Some characters will behave differently than on the television show. Expect out of character behavior because who doesn't want a bolder Daryl?

Carol is a corporate executive in Atlanta. Daryl is a co-owner of a construction business. They have mutual friends and live in the same condo building but they have nothing in common. Can Carol come back from her cold hearted all business persona. Can Daryl find the courage to make a move?

Carol is in her little house outside the Kingdom. Daryl is a prisoner at Negan's lair in the Sanctuary. They start connecting in a very different way than they have before.
Daryl finally makes it back to Alexandria to find that Carol has changed her wardrobe. He likes her white shirt and lets her know it.
Eugene and Carol are planning on a run to the mountains. They are planning to ask Aaron to go with them but Daryl pushes his way in. Carol and Daryl bicker. Eugene rambles. Good times in the ZA.
Carol struggles to come to terms with the events of "The Grove" and to let herself feel. This is a Caryl story so Daryl will help her but he won't be the only one. Morgan and Michonne are going to be part of Carol's "refinement".
